Start Making Sense celebrates the entire Talking Heads’ catalog with a seven-piece band meticulously executing the sounds and iconic live visual elements in every performance. Together these skilled and dedicated musicians enjoy bringing the unique, infectious energy of a Talking Heads live show that you know and love to the stage. In addition to an amazing tribute show they have created specialty shows including tours with horns for which they scored the Heads' catalog themselves, international group trips with fans, and other special nights that have kept audiences energized and returning year after year.

Start Making Sense is a premier 9 piece Talking Heads tribute band is known for meticulously recreating the sound, energy, and visual, art-pop style of David Byrne and company. Led by vocalist Jon Braun, the group delivers high-energy performances spanningthe Talking Heads' catalog, including hits, deep cuts, and Afro-beat material.  Performances feature iconic visual elements and, at times, a full horn section for an immersive, high-energy show.  Recognized for their attention to detail, they have built a dedicated following as the top ranked Talking Heads Tribute Band, across North America.  The late Bernie Worrell, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member who played with Talking Heads, praised the band as a great representation of the music.
